How to add a white outline for an Image in the thumbnail?

It's been trending on YouTube thumbnails to add a white outline over a character that presents the individual.

This outline can be done with any type of color you want and for designing it you need to open CANVA1and follow simple steps.

In this procedure learn to make an outline over the character of an image with any color desired as the background-color in 5 minutes.

1. Open remove.bg

For doing this in this procedure we need to remove the background of the image first.

Open remove.bg2 website and upload the image and remove the background and only be selective about the character appearing in the image.

Download the image and upload it to CANVA.

2. Open CANVAs Design Interface

Select the type of dimension for your thumbnail YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, or any other.

Select create a design and also one is able to enter the custom dimension for the thumbnail.

Select the background color from the top corner of the design interface and select the color to "white".

One can choose here any type of color they want to have for their background yellow, pink, blue, etc.

The background-color selected here will appear as an outline cover of an image.

Adjust the image over the design interface to its full part and leave a little space from all sides and download the image.

3. Open remove.bg and recover the Outline

Upload the image designed on canvas in part number second to remove.bg to complete the remained work.

Select "edit" on the top the right corner of the design and select "erase & restore" to restore the outline besides the image.

Select "restore" adjust the brush size to as small as possible and start to restore the outline besides the image.

Drag the circle just beside the image border and you will able to see that you are recovering the outline effect with the color we provided in the canvas background.

While restoring the outline with the desired color the gaps between the image and the outline should be restored as these gaps may be visible when one uploads them to their thumbnail.

One has to practice the brush size that suits their design very well as required for their thumbnail.

To be clearer select the zoom option and start the work to outline besides the image.
