How to Design Fancy Instagram Story? - Social Media Graphics - Beginners Guide

 

Instagram Story on CANVA

Open CANVA's1interface and login to your account.

Select "create a new design" and now search for the Instagram2 story with the default dimensions 1080 x 1920 Pixels from the canvas.

Under the templates section search for the desired template, you want to get for an Instagram story like news, media, press, social media, marketing, etc.

For Example in this case I am using "news" and searching for a suitable template for it.

Under the newsroom Instagram story I select here one of the news stories of the Mobile device. In this case, you can add the photo of the situation, write and edit the text about your news, etc.

Many times it happens that we do not get satisfied with the free templates given by CANVA3and we need to approach the free elements.

Here in this case I am searching for "news" in the elements section and I choose the mobile device that appears on the interface.

Now here you can type the news that you would like to distribute to your audience.

 

 

How to Design Instagram video for stories?

CANVA4also provides stories in the video format that is editable. All the type of content is editable and the topic for the story video can be searched in the search option.

Once the work is finished you have to download the video story in the mp4 format and if you need to prepare the longer video, then add more of the slides and download them all at once that combines them and make a single video.

Once the selection in the form of an image or video is done, then the story can be animated in with different styles with the pan option located at the top in overlapping circles format like

• None
• Block
• Fade
• Pan
• Rise
• Tumble

All the mentioned designs come under the free features offered from CANVA.

You can select any format that makes your video or image looks better than first or you can keep the image the same if you are not satisfied.

 

 

Another way to design stories for Instagram on CANVA is through free elements provided in different categories.

Here, for example, I will Search for "doctor" in the elements section and I get an element with doctor in the hospital’s emergency room. I select that element and write the text below it along with the shipping up sign in the CANVA itself or I would use the Instagram sticker for it.

Then I would change the background of the illustration and provide my website name at the bottom where my audience would like to visit.
